Direction of the guild

Throughout the past few weeks, the guilds progression in 10 man has gone up tremendously. T1 and T2 have both been rockin. Hopefully one team will down the LK soon, which will open up a lot of doors for the guild.
When the king is down, that team will start adding some new recruits on the team. The goal is to find solid new players to help out with numbers in 25 man progression, and help the formation of a 3rd team.
Whichever team doesn't down the king will have several options to choose from. They will have the option of taking a few members who may know some of the fights the team doesn't know or experienced, choose to continue our 2 10man 1 25man schedule during the week, or they can choose to have 2 25 man nights and 1 10. This will completely be up to the team still on the road to the Lich King.
We will be trying to recruit some new members to guild within the next few weeks to try and build our numbers. It has been hard to do this because there are many people who show up weekly, and if we were recruiting, a lot more people would have to sit out more often. When one team downs the king, this will allow that team to have 5-6 of their members to sit, and come in after Blood Prince. This will be appealing for new guildies instead of saying to them "We don't have a current spot for you, only in 25's".
Our 25 man progression has still been slow. We have been stretching on who we bring in to 25 mans and have been taking a lot of VIP members. A VIP member is not a main raid member, will only get loot if nobody else needs, and will only get an invite if we have nobody else on who's a main raider. Until we can get a full 25 main raid members on consistently, we will be continuing our current schedule. I know a lot of people would like to go further, or have more nights for 25 man content. This will not be happening until some of the things above are accomplished.
I feel when we do get full swing into 25 man content, with a solild group of all raiders, we will have no problems on fester/rotface/VD/putricide because everybody knows the fights, and we will have fully geared and experienced raiders in the raid.
I am looking foward to the next few weeks, it should be exciting!

Clarification
|
Last night there was a bit of concern about the placement of Abis. As stated to various people last week, Abis was just swapping for a week. As a result, last week T1 did not raid Tuesday night, which wasn't a big deal. Ideally, I would have swapped another member because of the high population of druids on T2, which is something I explained to various people. This was never meant to be a permanent switch b/c of the high amount of druids on T2, and also because T2 does not have a Priest (other than Kekio). Furthermore, T1 has been working with Abis's raid schedule which is not optimal for raiding, but T1 has been working with it for multiple week's now. Prior to moving Foster on T1 since Uhoh's raid times changed and availability increased, I swapped the 2 so there would be less druids on T2. It's always unfortunate when a guildy can't make their raid team, but this happens. This is purposely why I have been trying to save my Shaman (a healer) his 10m ICC raid lockout until Sat/Sun when I know when the other teams are going, and the availability of their healers. Main raid nights when Abis cannot make, we try pulling another dps from the guild into our raid, and we have sheerah use his offspec. We are trying to give guild members exposure to bosses in ICC. Furthermore, I'm sure Kekio will have some insight on Sindragosa this week when T2 gets there, which I anticipate will be tomorrow night.
When the guild downs the Lich King, either team, this will help us expand a bit and recruit a few more members. Whichever team downs him will be rotating primary members and new members of the guild, probably allowing some new members go for the first 7-9 bosses, then bringing in the main members to finish off the place for several weeks. If we heavily recruit members now, more members of current teams would have to be rotated out on a weekly basis, which is something I do not feel is fair to team members and I know will result in complaints. This will help strengthen numbers for our 25mans, help build a 3rd team the right way and not just accepting random people, but seeing them raid and have other raid member critique them. And lastly, after both teams down the Lich King, and clear the whole place with a fresh lockout one week, we can focus more of our time on 25 man progression with additional numbers and fully skilled and experienced guild members.
