After trying to alter our loot system slightly over the past few weeks, we have finally decided to use a Loot Council system.
Reason:
Many members who are consistently on and deserve gear are continuously being out rolled by members who sign on for 25's or can only attend a one or two raid nights per week. We certainly don't have any problems with having a real life lol but members who are able to put more time into the guild deserve gear over the members who can only make it on when it is convenient for them. Too many members who actively participate in the guild are getting too frustrated on others stepping in a raid or 1-2x a week and winning some of highest level and most beneficial gear in the game.
This system will take Trial and Error and we will be trying it out during tonight's raid. Members of the loot council will use criteria to determine who deserves gear. There will be more specifics about this, but for tonight (thurs 2/25) it will consist of:
- Attendance ( Who makes raids on time, who can commit all their toons to the guild.
- Performance: Who stays alive, knows fights, and plays their class to its maximum potential.
- Gear Maintenance: Who farms the materials for the best enchants and epic gems.
Now, I know everybody doesn't get into raids but a big issue on why we can't expand and make another Raid team is mainly because T2 doesn't have a defined RL, let alone T3. Hopefully this change will spark some initiative in our members and motivate some to take some higher positions in the guild (I only received about one person who mentioned briefly they would take on being an officer, and one volunteer to run a third team).
I will not be an active member on the Loot Council. As of right now (Tonight) the Council will consist of:
-Superdank
-Warranpeace
-RxKramer
-Chaoz
-Beelzebubb
*Sheerah: Will be an active Loot Council member if others are not on.
*We will possibly be adding more members in the future.
The Loot Council System will work like this:
-The Loot Council will know each player that is eligible to roll on items.
-If an item drops that you would like, you will whisper the officer assigned to take whispers that night:
- 1: For BIG upgrade. 2: For Minor. If nobody wants the item for any of these purposes we will have off spec rolls.
- The Loot Council will then look over who is eligible to roll, and will allow however many people they feel is deservant to roll on the item.
- Lets say three people are determined that they can roll: They will be announced to the raid, and will be told to roll, any early rolls will NOT count.
- Some members may win more than 1 item, but for the most part we will still try and limit 1 loot per raid.
This is all trial and error tonight, hopefully we can get another group going so we can broaden the amount of people we can take in our 25's and this will also increase your chances to be eligible to roll and receive gear.
Lastly, the main reason for this is for Progression.
