Early Monday morning I had to bring my gf back to the hospital where she stayed the whole entire day. Her mother finally got there around 1 am and I went back to her apt to get some rest for the drive home. She was readmitted because she had an infection where her operation took place.

I didn't have any access to the internet from where I was at all day and hopefully some of the people I texted in guild were able to give everybody an update.

Hopefully something was put together last night, but if not I hope we can get 2 10m ICC's in tonight or possibly a 25, it will depend who is on and what each team is missing.

Natal Wed, 10 Mar 2010 21:48:17 -0000 http://www.whiteoutofandorhal.com/news/show/382625 http://www.whiteoutofandorhal.com/news/show/382625 Tuesday Night
Posted 03/03/2010 02:19 AM by Natal.

Tuesday night was a very successful night. One team had a few new members and cleared Rotface on their first shot and also got the Weekly done, great job! We will probably start bringing in members who don't always get a main spot on a team for the first few bosses to give them more of an opportunity to show improvement in their specific class (dps/heals/damage donge/activity time etc) and their raid awareness. Thank you to the members who filled in last night and overall did a great job.

This is a general guild announcement. Please do not sign up for Raids if you are not going to be on the specified nights given in the raid details. If you think you can only make one night or are going to be late please put that in your signup notes. If you see your status is "queued" either I haven't been able to update your status, or we are waiting to see what class distribution we will have for the raid. Last night we were waiting on various members to show up and they failed to do so. Granted, I know things can certainly happen last minute and that is perfectly understandable, but just in general please do not sign up, or try and cancel a sign up if you cannot make the raid.

I have high expectations of getting 2-3 new bosses down this week and to also see more members down Rotface and hopefully more! Keep up the good work!

Natal Wed, 03 Mar 2010 07:19:59 -0000 http://www.whiteoutofandorhal.com/news/show/379531 http://www.whiteoutofandorhal.com/news/show/379531 25 ToC Tonight
Posted 02/26/2010 04:10 PM by Natal.

We had an incident come up last on a piece of loot. As of 1/27 we had posted in our loot rules that superdank would be getting the next tier token that drops. That promise was broken last night due to the fact that we were switching over to a new loot council system. Superdank had the power to give himself the loot but the loot council asked me if that rule was still in effect, I said no, let the council decide who will roll on the item.

As a result, for tonight's 25m ToC run, we are keeping Death's Verdict on Reserve for Supergrover to compensate for the piece of loot he was entitled to.

I will try and set up an additional run this weekend for anybody else who is specifically going for DV.

Natal Fri, 26 Feb 2010 21:10:59 -0000 http://www.whiteoutofandorhal.com/news/show/377824 http://www.whiteoutofandorhal.com/news/show/377824 25m LOOT COUNCIL
Posted 02/25/2010 07:54 PM by Natal.

After trying to alter our loot system slightly over the past few weeks, we have finally decided to use a Loot Council system.

Reason:

Many members who are consistently on and deserve gear are continuously being out rolled by members who sign on for 25's or can only attend a one or two raid nights per week. We certainly don't have any problems with having a real life lol but members who are able to put more time into the guild deserve gear over the members who can only make it on when it is convenient for them. Too many members who actively participate in the guild are getting too frustrated on others stepping in a raid or 1-2x a week and winning some of highest level and most beneficial gear in the game.

This system will take Trial and Error and we will be trying it out during tonight's raid. Members of the loot council will use criteria to determine who deserves gear. There will be more specifics about this, but for tonight (thurs 2/25) it will consist of:
- Attendance ( Who makes raids on time, who can commit all their toons to the guild.
- Performance: Who stays alive, knows fights, and plays their class to its maximum potential.
- Gear Maintenance: Who farms the materials for the best enchants and epic gems.

Now, I know everybody doesn't get into raids but a big issue on why we can't expand and make another Raid team is mainly because T2 doesn't have a defined RL, let alone T3. Hopefully this change will spark some initiative in our members and motivate some to take some higher positions in the guild (I only received about one person who mentioned briefly they would take on being an officer, and one volunteer to run a third team).

I will not be an active member on the Loot Council. As of right now (Tonight) the Council will consist of:
-Superdank
-Warranpeace
-RxKramer
-Chaoz
-Beelzebubb

*Sheerah: Will be an active Loot Council member if others are not on.

*We will possibly be adding more members in the future.

The Loot Council System will work like this:
-The Loot Council will know each player that is eligible to roll on items.
-If an item drops that you would like, you will whisper the officer assigned to take whispers that night:
- 1: For BIG upgrade. 2: For Minor. If nobody wants the item for any of these purposes we will have off spec rolls.
- The Loot Council will then look over who is eligible to roll, and will allow however many people they feel is deservant to roll on the item.
- Lets say three people are determined that they can roll: They will be announced to the raid, and will be told to roll, any early rolls will NOT count.
- Some members may win more than 1 item, but for the most part we will still try and limit 1 loot per raid.

This is all trial and error tonight, hopefully we can get another group going so we can broaden the amount of people we can take in our 25's and this will also increase your chances to be eligible to roll and receive gear.

Lastly, the main reason for this is for Progression.

Natal Fri, 26 Feb 2010 00:54:25 -0000 http://www.whiteoutofandorhal.com/news/show/377494 http://www.whiteoutofandorhal.com/news/show/377494 ROTFACE
Posted 02/24/2010 03:35 AM by Natal.

Must I say anything?

Natal Wed, 24 Feb 2010 08:35:42 -0000 http://www.whiteoutofandorhal.com/news/show/376775 http://www.whiteoutofandorhal.com/news/show/376775 Monday Night 25 ICC
Posted 02/23/2010 04:53 PM by Natal.

Great Job in 25 ICC! We cleared the first wing with great timing and even got the weekly done in the second wing thanks to Hormonggler. People are certainly stepping their game up but some are still slacking, spots will be becoming more competitive as we start to progress.

I have confidence our 10's teams will get off to a good start this week and both will successfully defeat Rotface. Plan on another 25 ICC this week possibly this coming Thursday, if not Monday.

We will be hosting a 25m ToC Friday night, giving guildies the primary spots and also leaving spaces open for some applicants. Geared Alts are welcomed as everything will be a free roll for your main spec. I do advise members who are lower on the damage meters/activity/etc to play their mains and practice their rotations, try new ones, or try different enchants or gems to help improve their individual performance.

We will also be running an ICC 10 for members who did not get in during the week or could not attend that time. We are still recruiting for a 3rd team for to raid while our other 2 Teams raid but since we have 1 Raid Leader, 3 geared Tanks atm, and not enough DPS and personal schedules that match well with our current raid nights (mon-thurs) we aren't close to fielding a team atm.

I am very happy to see the improvements on our 10's teams and 25 man runs. Keep working hard and we will certainly continue seeing positive results!

Natal Tue, 23 Feb 2010 21:53:20 -0000 http://www.whiteoutofandorhal.com/news/show/376602 http://www.whiteoutofandorhal.com/news/show/376602 Professor P.
Posted 02/17/2010 04:31 AM by Natal.

Natal Wed, 17 Feb 2010 09:31:49 -0000 http://www.whiteoutofandorhal.com/news/show/374037 http://www.whiteoutofandorhal.com/news/show/374037 ROTFACE
Posted 02/17/2010 01:53 AM by Natal.

Both teams are up to Rotface! Although we haven't become worse, we haven't become any stronger. The closest T1 got to downing Rotface was 973k HP the past 2 weeks which has been our best shots. We have purposely been trying to get more 25's in to get more of the guild involved in raids, but this really hasn't been working out for us.

Many members have expressed some displeasure with the current content we are clearing and I agree and understand their frustration because I am frustrated as well. Furthermore, many members who commit all their characters to this guild are also displeased with other members who play various toons in various guilds. Even though these players have their "mains" in Whiteout, they have other mains in other guilds as well.

Many of our top performing members dedicate their time, Frost emblems, and anything they can to make their main the best it can be. They may buy Primordial Saronite on an alt, just to give to a main, or cash in Triumph Badges for gems instead of upgrading current gear on their alt. This shows dedication to your main, and to the guild.

As guild leader, I need to do what I think is best for this guild, and after discussing and researching some options with class officers, I have decided we will be remaking our 2 10 man teams and sticking primarily to 10 mans until we down the Lich King. We will be focusing on about 22 members primarily getting spots, who we know are reliable, know their class, and will not cause problems in the guild. Myself and other officers have discussed and looked over old logs to review performance, and improvement amongst members.

Each team will be keeping their same 10 members week in and week out, working raid times around one another to optimize performance. Hopefully this will improve performance with all members, making members earn and keep spots they currently have.

I feel bad about resulting to this but I am getting burnt out of constantly recruiting, pre-calculating our average DPS before raids, and finding pug spots to fill 25's, just to see little progression. I think everybody in this guild are good people and I honestly like everybody in this guild, but this is just a tough decision as Guild Master I need to make and I think it is the best decision to hold this guild together and keep moving forward.

I would love to open a third team, but we are very short on raid leaders and nobody has stepped up and asked to be one, if anybody would like to start a third team and run it, they are certainly welcome.

Natal Mon, 15 Feb 2010 03:58:50 -0000 http://www.whiteoutofandorhal.com/news/show/373131 http://www.whiteoutofandorhal.com/news/show/373131 Combat Logs
Posted 02/09/2010 01:03 PM by Natal.

First off, good job last night! I was very pleased we got that run in!

Last night myself and some guild members were fooling around and looking at combat logs from our guild and other guilds in our server, here is a DPS report of our Saurfang fight. http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/p4d1kxjxep7uk48e/dashboard/?s=10526&e=10958

If you compare those stats with some top guilds on our server you will see our DPS is way under what they are putting out.

Furthermore, I would like each member to look over their

-DPS
-Damage Done
-Activity time

These three are important because if your DPS is low, something is probably wrong in your rotation, if your damage done or activity time is low, compared to other guildies, this is a strong indicator that you are probably having too much down time on fights and that you need to find better ways of staying more active in fights.

Also, please check out that RAWR program at http://rawr.codeplex.com/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=39365

Natal Tue, 09 Feb 2010 18:03:02 -0000 http://www.whiteoutofandorhal.com/news/show/371041 http://www.whiteoutofandorhal.com/news/show/371041
