As you all know, we have been trying to find a new non-warrior tank and paladin healer for a while. We recently recruited a new warrior tank. His gear out gears my warrior's and has seen and defeated fights this guild hasn't been up to yet. He is also willing to be an officer and raid lead which are two other roles we are shorthanded in this guild.
I am handing him my main tanking spot. In the mean time I will be putting all my time in leveling a paladin. When I hit 80, I will determine which spec we need the most and start gearing that spec. Luckily we have another paladin transferring servers willing to play either spec. I will not stop raiding on my warrior by any means. I will be aiding each raid team or our 25m ICC when they need a tank or DPS. I may also run with Team 2 this week and try to share strategies for Festergut since they have been struggling with him.
I feel this will give our guild a lot more depth, helping us through weeks where we may have a lot of absences. It will also help us progress because we will have more paladin healers to be distributed to raid teams and a member in guild that has seen more content. Furthermore, it will take a lot of pressure off of warranpeace and our tanks in case they have to miss a raid.
This will also make our weekend raid team easier to get together since the past few weekends all we were missing were tanks. This will hopefully be a good option for people in case they were busy during the week or are not on a raid team.
We are trying to make steps to help this guild progress and be more complete. We feel this is a very good decision and in the long run will help us greatly.
